What is the Virtual Endoscope?
The virtual endoscope provides a first-person perspective inside the spine for exploring spinal anatomy in 3D.
Capabilities
Navigate through spinal canal and foramina
Visualize vertebral surfaces and disc boundaries up close
Virtual bone removal (material removal)
Tissue manipulation (grab and push)
Adjust camera depth, distance, and roll angle
Prerequisites
The Endoscope requires completed segmentation meshes . If no meshes are available, the Endoscope button is disabled with a prompt to run segmentation first.
Automatic State Changes
When entering Endoscope mode, the app automatically:
Shows all meshes (if hidden)
Turns off Mesh Cut
Turns off Mesh Transparency
Enables all labels
Sets camera to COR preset
Sets clip position to 50%
Constraints
Activating Endoscope automatically deactivates Scouter mode.
Activating Endoscope automatically deactivates Pointer , W/L , and Ruler tools.
