Overview
The drilling feature simulates bone removal, allowing you to visualize what structures would be exposed during a surgical decompression.
Activation
Toggle Drilling mode in the endoscope controls panel.
Usage
With drilling active:
- Click and drag on the mesh surface to remove material.
- Material is removed in the area under the cursor.
- The removal uses a smoothstep falloff for natural-looking results.
- Depth is limited to 0.3 mm per interaction to prevent accidental over-drilling.
Undo
Use the Backup/Restore controls to undo drilling operations:
- Backup — Save the current mesh state before drilling.
- Restore — Revert to the last saved state.
Always create a backup before starting a drilling session so you can easily undo if needed.
