# System Requirements

## Browser

## Spine Helper (for AI Segmentation)

The Spine Helper is a local companion app that runs AI segmentation:

| GPU       | Apple MPS (macOS, automatic). Windows runs on CPU only — CUDA support planned. |

  The main viewer runs entirely in the browser. Spine Helper is only needed for AI segmentation.

## Network

ALTICIAN Spine works **offline** after the initial page load. DICOM files are processed entirely in the browser. Spine Helper runs locally on your machine — no data is sent to external servers.
