# Demo Mode

> Try ALTICIAN Spine with sample data

## Starting a Demo

Click **"Try with a DEMO scan"** on the welcome screen to load a pre-packaged sample spine MRI.

The demo includes:

* T2-weighted sagittal MRI volume
* Pre-computed segmentation meshes (vertebrae, discs, spinal canal)
* Full 3D rendering with all viewing modes

## What You Can Do in Demo Mode

* **3D volume rendering** — Rotate, zoom, pan, adjust opacity and window/level
* **Segmentation results** — View pre-segmented vertebrae, discs, and spinal canal
* **Mesh controls** — Toggle labels, transparency, and 3D cut
* **Scouter** — Dual-view mode
* **Endoscope** — Virtual endoscopy with drilling and deformation
* **Export** — Save slices and record screen

## Limitations

* You cannot load your own DICOM files while in demo mode — reload the page to start fresh.

## Data Source

The demo uses a scan from the [Spider MRI Dataset](https://zenodo.org/records/10159290) (van der Graaf et al., 2024), licensed under **CC BY 4.0**.
