# 3D Sharpening

> Enhance detail in the volume rendering

## Overview

The 3D Sharpening filter enhances edges and fine detail in the volume rendering. Enable it from the **Display** section of the right panel.

## Usage

1. Toggle **3D Sharpening** on.
2. Adjust the **Amount** slider to control sharpening intensity.
3. Wait for the filter to process (a progress indicator appears for large volumes).

## Tips

* Start with a low amount and increase gradually.
* Sharpening works best on high-resolution scans.
* The filter is applied asynchronously — the viewport updates when processing is complete.
